Burnless — Terms
These are the terms for using Burnless, an iOS app I make under the name Koirala Studio. If anything's unclear, email support@koirala.studio.
Using the app
You can use Burnless on any Apple device you own, for personal sun-awareness. Don't reverse-engineer it, don't resell it, and don't use it to break the law or hurt anyone.
Guidance, not medical advice
UV, burn-time estimates, dose bars, and reapply reminders are estimates and guidance — not medical advice and not a guarantee you won't burn. Skin type, sunscreen use, reflection, cloud, and how you apply product all change real risk. Burnless is not a medical device. If you have concerns about sun exposure or skin health, talk to a healthcare provider.
Sun Pro subscription
Free features include live UV, burn-time estimates, and the widget. Sun Pro unlocks the sun-session timer, Live Activity, reapply reminders, family profiles, history, and saved locations. Plans and prices are shown in the app and on the App Store (currently yearly with a free trial if eligible, and lifetime). Family Sharing is not enabled for Sun Pro in v1 — Pro is for this iPhone.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- Auto-renewing plans renew unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- To cancel: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Burnless → Cancel. Deleting the app does not cancel billing.
- If you cancel mid-trial, any unused trial time is forfeited.
Refunds
Apple handles all payments and refunds. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com.
Weather attribution
Weather data is from Apple Weather. Burnless shows Apple's attribution where weather appears in the app.
No warranty
Burnless is provided "as is." I can't guarantee perfect UV, perfect burn estimates, or uninterrupted service.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, I'm not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages from using or not being able to use Burnless — including sunburn or other sun-related harm. If I am liable, the total is capped at the greater of (a) what you paid me through Apple in the last 12 months, or (b) CAD $10.
Apple's role
These terms are between you and me (Koirala Studio), not Apple. Apple has no responsibility for Burnless or its contents. Apple may enforce these terms as a third-party beneficiary.
If these terms change
I'll update the date at the top. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Where this is governed
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Consumer protections in your home jurisdiction still apply where required.
